Newsletter UPDATE – Hindawi Terminates our CJGH Contract

Mr. Paul Peters CEO at Hindawi Publishing Corporation, has informed CASL that they will not be renewing our contract agreements when it expires on December 31 2016. As such, the affiliation of CASL and CAG with CJGH will be terminated.

CASL is striking a Publication Task Force chaired by Dr. Eric Yoshida to examine the various options and strategies for having a society journal and to recommend how best to move forward. While this is a highly complex issue that will require thoughtful consideration, it does offer a terrific opportunity for CASL To develop a product that will best meet the needs of our membership and the Canadian Hepatology community at large.

Please be reminded that the Annals of Hepatology remains an official CASL journal in partnership with the Mexican Association of Hepatology and ALEH, with an impact factor >2. (

We will provide regular updates on this issue as events unfold. We plan to survey our membership and certainly welcome any comments or suggestions that you might have
